X-17
Mission: The X-17 was a multistage rocket used to transport various reentry vehicle payload configurations to extremely high altitudes. The reentry that followed involved the final X-17 stage that propelled the nose cone to extremely high speeds and dynamic loads. All three stages and their associated rocket engines used solid fuel.
