7 November: Aerial Refueling

USAF pilot Lt. Col. Paul Smith tests the aerial refueling qualities of the JSF X-35A for the first in-flight operation. Smith takes off from Edwards AFB, California, climbs to 23,000 feet, and executes four refueling events with the KC-135 tanker. The two-hour and fifty minute flight is the longest yet for the X-35A.
