Lt. Col. Tom "TD" Duke, is currently a full time F-16 instructor pilot in Springfield, Ohio. He has been painting for the past 12 years. TD is self taught and has 2 works in the USAF Art program, "Monument Valley Slammer" and "Badgers Over Baghdad". TD believes he can bring a unique sense of experience to his artwork due to his 3000 hours of fighter time in the F-16, A-10 and AT-38 over the past 2 decades. "Monument Valley Slammer" is a fictional dog fight over Monument Valley by an F-16 from Luke AFB. The original, 4' x 6' acrylic, is on display in the Academic building at Luke. Badgers over Baghdad shows a 2 ship of vipers from the 115th Fighter wing, Madison, WI over Jalibah airfield returning to Kuwait during Operation Southern Watch in Dec, 1997. This original, 4' x 6' acrylic, is on display outside the wing main briefing room in Madison, WI. "The Wolf's Jet" was painted while he was stationed at Kunsan AB in 1994. The Saber Wing jet, #262, has been credited with the second air to air combat victory by downing a Mig-23 in Jan 1993 while assigned to the 52 FW in Spangdahlem, Germany. It is now the Wing Commander's jet at Springfield, Ohio. TD also enjoys commissions for individuals and squadrons in his spare time. He intends to devote a serious amount of time to aviation art when he retires from active duty in a couple of years (if you can pry him out of the mighty F-16).
