Tom Freeman never had formal art training. After leaving the armed forces, he would visit the US Naval Institute and take samples of his work to audition. One painting was eventually chosen for the cover of Proceedings, the Institute’s magazine, launching his career. Since then, his work has appeared in numerous books and magazines.
