Paul Treleven is a self-taught aviation artist based in Pretoria, South Africa, where he served in the world's second oldest air arm, the South African Air Force. After nearly ten years as a flight paramedic on helicopter ambulance services around South Africa, he tried his hand at painting. He works only in oils and strives to achieve photorealistic images.
