F-16 Fighting Falcon
Units World Wide

If there's strength in numbers, the following maps and listings show that the F-16 is one mighty fighter. As of January 1999, over 3,500 Fighting Falcons serve the air forces of nineteen countries. Many other countries have expressed interest in obtaining F-16 aircraft in the coming years, including the United Arab Emirates and several countries of the former Warsaw Pact.

USA / South America | Europe | Middle East | Asia

This worldwide and increasing presence can be explained by the F-16's unique combination of raw performance, potent capabilities, and low cost. And periodic programs for updating the aircraft's capabilities prevent it from becoming obsolete. No current fighter comes close to matching the qualities found in the F-16. Besides strength, capability, and worldwide acceptance, the locations show that the F-16 can handle a wide range of operating conditions-from the humid heats of Shaikh Isa and Korat to the sub-zero freezes of Eielson and Bodö. The F-16 is truly a world-class fighter.
