27th Fighter Wing Wins Colombian Trophy

The 27th Fighter Wing at Cannon AFB, New Mexico, was recently announced as the recipient of the Colombian Trophy for best fighter safety achievement in the US Air Force for 2003. This is the fourth consecutive year that an F-16 unit has won the prestigious award, and marks the eighth time in the last thirteen years a Fighting Falcon unit has claimed the trophy. The 27th FW flies a variety of F-16s—Air Force Block 30/40/50 and a training squadron of Singapore Block 52 aircraft.
