Stealthy Appearance

The Air Force's three stealth platforms—an F-117, B-2, and F/A-22—were flown in a unique formation at the start of both the 115th Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl football game in Pasadena, California, on 1 January. A television audience of about 18 million people watched the game and saw the flyover, which occurred right after the national anthem was played. All three participating aircraft are assigned to the Air Force Flight Test Center at nearby Edwards AFB.
