Coalition Mercy Missions

Coalition Mercy Missions US aeromedical teams are flying weekly missions on Royal Australian Air Force C-130Js in a unique allied effort to gather injured service members throughout Iraq and Kuwait and deliver them to higher care facilities. These weekly missions, called "the mercy channel," moved nearly 2,000 patients from August 2005 through late February. The RAAF crews try to fly the mercy missions whenever possible. Most of the missions last fifteen hours.
