Hill Begins F-22 Mods

The first F-22 arrived at Hill AFB, Utah, for minor modifications on 18 April. This Raptor, based at Langley AFB, Virginia, is the first F-22 scheduled to undergo modification at the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill this year. Each F-22 is scheduled to spend thirty-five days undergoing modification to enhance lighting around the Raptor's air-to-air refueling receptacle to provide better visibility for the tanker boom operator while performing night inflight refueling. A total of eighteen Raptors are contracted to undergo modifications at Ogden ALC.
