Peace Sky F-16 Delivered

Peace Sky F-16 Delivered The first new F-16 for Poland under the Peace Sky program was contractually delivered on 30 March. The Peace Sky program includes forty-eight F-16 Block 52+ aircraft, including thirty-six single-seat F-16C and twelve dual-seat F-16D aircraft. The acceptance followed the aircraft’s first flight on 15 March. This advanced version of the F-16 features the APG-68(V)9 radar, the Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing System, an advanced defensive electronic warfare system, color moving map, and provisions for conformal fuel tanks. After several additional check flights by both Lockheed Martin and US Air Force test pilots, the first Polish F-16 was ferried to Edwards AFB, California, in April to begin system testing specific to the Polish Air Force.
