 Raptor Begins Radar
Cross-Section Test
The F-22 Raptor began radar cross-section testing last September at LM Aero using a full-scale replica of the aircraft. The model was built to production tolerances and includes all major signature contributors. During initial phases of testing, the model was mounted upside-down to allow engineers to look at the bottom of the aircraft. Later, the model was flipped over so that the top of the aircraft could be examined. |
