Fokker Completes First Demo Article
Fokker Aerostructures, a division of Stork Aerospace in the Netherlands, completed the first in a series of demonstration articles for the Lockheed Martin JSF Advanced Affordability Demonstration. Lockheed Martin accepted the demonstration article, a thermoplastic composite engine access cover, in Fort Worth ceremonies last October. Fokker Aerostructures is designing and building three other major JSF structural components for the program: the horizontal tail, weapons bay sidewall, and a wing box. The Netherlands is one of ten countries participating in the US-led JSF program as an associate partner. |
