Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems and Aerostructures Sector, a partner on the Lockheed Martin JSF team since 1997, is investigating the contributions of electro-optical distributed aperture systems for enhancing pilot situation awareness in a high-workload mission environment. Northrop Grumman conducts the interactive demonstrations with warfighters during pilot-in-the-loop simulations at its Force Level Laboratory in Pico Rivera, California.

This is the sixth demonstration conducted under the auspices of the Mission Systems Integrated Product Team. Seventy-two interdiction and self-protect mission trials were conducted, in addition to forty-eight defensive counter-air mission trials.
