RNoAF Demos LANTIRN

The Royal Norwegian Air Force successfully demonstrated the LANTIRN targeting pod on MLU F-16s last September with 100 percent mission success. Four of the twelve sorties conducted at Orland Main Air Base, Norway, included live GBU-12 drops—all good—two with autonomous operations and two with “buddy” lasing operations. The demonstrations, which totaled more than fifteen hours, were part of a market survey RNoAF conducted to procure a targeting system for its F-16 fleet.
