Raptor 4003 Flies Again

Raptor 4003 returned to flight last September after undergoing structural upgrades and a period of extensive ground testing. Boeing test pilot Chuck Killberg, the pilot when Raptor 03 first flew earlier last year, was in the cockpit for the hour-long sortie. This aircraft will carry a large test burden in the next two and one-half years because it pushes Raptor’s flight envelope to maximum speed, maximum altitude, and maximum maneuverability.
