Jabour Returns as F-22 SPO Director

Brig. Gen. William Jabour assumed duties last September as director of the F-22 System Program Office at Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Jabour served previously on the F-22 program as the chief of the Air Vehicle Integrated Product Team, the commander of the F-22 Combined Test Force, and director of test and evaluation for the Advanced Tactical Fighter. He is the fifth F-22 SPO director.

“I couldn’t have picked a more exciting time to return to the program,” said Jabour, a former vice commander of Aeronautical Systems Center. “I’m struck by the incredible teamwork and sense of purpose displayed by government personnel and contractors alike. We’ve got some challenges as we approach the next Defense Acquisition Board meeting, but I have considerable confidence in our ability to meet any obstacle and prevail.”

Jabour is a command and test pilot with more than 2,700 flight hours in sixty-seven types of aircraft. He performed as an experimental test pilot on the A-10, F-16, and YF-22.
