The F/A-22 Combined Test Force successfully recorded two guided missile launches in one day at two different ranges on 24 November 2003. First, Raptor 05 was used to fire an AIM-120 against a QF-4 drone in a look-down engagement at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. In the second mission, an AIM-9 launched in a rear aspect shot scored a direct hit against a Navy QF-4 drone at the Naval Weapons Center range over the Pacific Ocean. Raptor 03 was used on 22 September to launch an AIM-9 missile at elevated g while rolling 100 degrees per second. Raptor 03 was used on 14 October to complete the final AIM-120 separation test shot required for start of initial operational test and evaluation.
