Dutch Firms Win F-35 Work

Dutch Firms Win F-35 Work Three Dutch companies added approximately $58 million to the country's work share in the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program in late September. The Netherlands' F-35 JSF business currently exceeds $150 million. Stork Fokker AESP B.V. officials signed on to develop and produce various flight movable doors as a subcontractor to F-35 principal partner Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems. Additionally, ATS Kleizen won a $3.6 million contract from Lockheed Martin to fabricate tooling for the F-35's composite control surfaces and fixed leading- and trailing-edge wing and empennage components. Lockheed Martin also received a contract modification that enables Thales NL to develop cryogenic coolers for the F-35's on-board electro-optical systems.
