|
|
The Royal Air Force passed the 50,000 flight hour mark with its fleet of twenty-five C-130J-30s (referred to as C. Mk. IV) and C-130J (C. Mk. V) Super Hercules aircraft during September. During the month, RAF crews flew nearly 2,300 hours and averaged ninety-one hours per aircraft. The RAF C-130J fleet is based at RAF Lyneham near Chippenham in North Wiltshire, England. RAF crews have taken their C-130Js into service in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
