T-50 Radar Flight Testing

The Republic of Korea Air Force began flight testing the radar of the Lead-In Fighter Trainer version of the T-50 Golden Eagle last December. The APG-67(V)4 multimode fire control radar, produced by Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, New Jersey, will be tested on the two T-50 LIFT flight test aircraft with eighty flights expected over an eight-month period. Testing will involve air-to-air, air-to-ground, and air-to-sea modes of the radar. The T-50 LIFT version differs from the trainer version with the addition of the radar and an internal gun.
