The Air Force unveiled its new Future Total Force concept in December, naming three aircraft-related tests to help shape how active and reserve component members are trained, equipped, and employed. The 192nd Fighter Wing, the Virginia ANG F-16 unit based in Richmond, and the active Air Force's 1st FW at Langley AFB, Virginia, will be full partners in the transition to the F/A-22 Raptor. Active duty airmen will be stationed with the 158th FW, the Vermont ANG F-16 unit in Burlington, to learn from experienced Guard members. At Hill AFB, Utah, Reservists from the 419th FW will form an integrated fighter associate unit with the active duty 388th FW.
