Sink, Sank, Sunk

Sink, Sank, Sunk A two-day Navy and Air Force antisurface warfare exercise named Resultant Fury 05-01 concluded in November with the targeting and destruction of a decommissioned Navy ship in the Pacific. Personnel from both services worked together to destroy multiple mobile seaborne targets and attack ex-USS Schenectady, a decommissioned tank landing ship, in a unique training opportunity to sharpen at-sea warfighting skills using the latest weaponry. Crews practiced joint operational procedures with joint weapon systems, such as Joint Stand Off Weapons and Joint Direct Attack Munitions. Two Air Force B-52s, two E-8s, one E-3, two Navy F/A-18Es, and one P-3 were flown in the exercise.
