Tasks Of Super Hercules

Tasks Of Super Hercules Crews put the C-130J through its paces in November during an exercise with the US Army at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The 48th Airlift Squadron and 34th Combat Training Squadron at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, conducted the exercise while evaluators from the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center graded the performance of the C-130Js. This exercise was the last phase of operational test and evaluation for the C-130J. The C-130Js, which were flown at a high operational tempo, were used to resupply the Army with combat offloads, engine running offloads, airdrops, and dirt strip landings. The final evaluation was a December deployment to Eielson AFB, Alaska, (shown here) for cold-weather testing.
