Viking Squadron Changes

Viking Squadron Changes The Maulers of Sea Control Squadron 32 (VS-32), currently embarked as part of Carrier Air Wing ONE onboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), experienced an unusual airborne change of command on 16 November. Cmdr. John A. Breast relieved Cmdr. William K. Henderson (shown here launching) while in a squadron S-3. On 9 December, RAdm. David Architzel, commander of the Navy's Operational Test and Evaluation Force, attended the decommissioning ceremony for the Diamond Cutters of Sea Control Squadron 30 (VS-30) at NAS Jacksonville, Florida. The Diamond Cutters are the first East Coast S-3B squadron to be disestablished. The S-3 is scheduled to be retired from Navy service in 2009.
