More than fifty of Walt Disney's original World War II insignia designs are included in a special exhibit at the National Museum of the US Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The exhibit, entitled "Disney Pins on Wings," includes the original Walt Disney Productions insignia designs, as well as selected examples of Disney-influenced materials from the museum's collection. This exhibit is believed to be the largest collection of original Walt Disney insignia artwork ever displayed. Over a five-year period, the Disney Studio created 1,200 different insignias for American and Allied units, vessels, and schools. Donald Duck appeared in more than 200 designs. The exhibit runs through 11 June.
