Milestone Hercules

Milestone Hercules The 2,300th Hercules built was delivered in ceremonies at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia, on 29 November. The milestone aircraft, a KC-130J Super Hercules tanker for the US Marine Corps, was accepted by Maj. Gen. Samuel T. Helland, commander of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at MCAS Miramar, California. The Marine Corps has taken delivery of twenty-four KC-130J tankers, six of which are currently deployed to Iraq in support of ongoing combat operations. This KC-130J is the twelfth tanker delivered to Miramar. The C-130 production line in Marietta, in continuous production for fifty-three years, is the longest continuously operating military aircraft production line in history.
