Aviation ordnance personnel assigned to the Mad Foxes of Patrol Squadron 5 (VP-5) unload and stow sonobuoys from a P-3C Orion aircraft at NAS Signonella, Sicily. VP-5, homeported at NAS Jacksonville, Florida, is currently forward deployed in support of maritime patrol operations in the 7th Fleet area of operations. Millions of sonobuoys have been released by crews since the P-3A first entered US Navy service in 1962.
