Combat Hour Mark

Combat Hour Mark The 41st Expeditionary Electronic Combat Squadron at Bagram AB, Afghanistan, surpassed 10,000 combat hours in the EC-130H Compass Call communications-jamming aircraft in September while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. The milestone occurred while assisting International Security Assistance Force troops move a forty-one vehicle convoy. During the flight, an EC-130H crew flew overhead to disrupt enemy command and control communications and limit adversary coordination. The squadron's 10,000 combat hours were amassed over four years beginning with the unit's first Operation Enduring Freedom deployment in March 2004 from their home base at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. Two squadrons operate the EC-130H. The entire fleet consists of fourteen aircraft, but only one or two are deployed at a time.
