Thailand Celebrates F-16 Milestones

Thailand Celebrates F-16 MilestonesWing Commander Narong Vigor Inthachart, squadron commander of Squadron 103, Wing 1, became the first Royal Thailand Air Force pilot to fly 2,000 hours in the F-16. He received a plaque from RTAF Commander in Air Chief Marshal Pong Maneesilp in May in a ceremony held at Wing 1 at Korat AB, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

On the same day and in the same ceremony, Thailand program director Paul M. Jones presented a plaque to Pong commemorating Squadron 103’s attainment of 40,000 flight hours in the F-16 since first delivery in 1988. The RTAF’s other F-16 squadron, Squadron 403, located at Wing 4, Takhli AB, Nakhon Sawon, recently attained 15,000 hours in their F-16s, for a total of over 55,000 hours combined for the RTAF. Two F-16s were specially painted for the event.
