The T-50 Golden Eagle, an advanced supersonic trainer developed by Korea Aerospace Industries with the assistance of Lockheed Martin, completed its 100th test flight on 28 April. The date also marked the first time the test team had completed three sorties in one day and the first time the aircraft had been flown to a speed of Mach 1.2. Two aircraft are being flown in the test program. The ground testing program is also on schedule. On 25 April, the airframe durability vehicle completed one lifetime of testing, equivalent to 8,334 flight hours. Durability testing is being conducted at the Agency for Defense Development testing laboratory in Taejon, South Korea, and testing continues on a second airframe lifetime, which is expected to be completed next April. |
