Members of the 140th Wing, the Colorado Air National Guard unit at Buckley AFB, near Denver, Colorado, served as judges for the second annual Falcon Air Meet hosted in May by the Royal Jordanian Air Force at Muwaffaq Salti AB, Jordan. The goal of the meet is for F-16 units to train and work through friendly competition. Units from Belgium, Turkey, and Jordan, plus the 55th Fighter Squadron from Shaw AFB, South Carolina, competed in maintenance and operations events, which consisted of a four-ship formation arrival, a scramble launch, air-to-air combat, weapons loading, and bombing missions. In addition to the scored events, the four countries also trained with each other in basic fighter maneuvers, air combat training, and large force employment.
