One of the most experienced Hercules crews flew over Buckingham Palace as part of the forty-nine aircraft Falkland Islands 25th Anniversary Flypast held in London on 17 June. Five of the six-member crew were Operation Corporate veterans who flew in Royal Air Force C-130K Hercules transport aircraft during the seventy-four day conflict in the South Atlantic in 1982. The group had a combined total flying experience of 66,000 hours. Only the aircraft commander, Flt. Lt. Steve Lippiatt, an instructor pilot at RAF Lyneham, remains in the regular RAF. The other veterans are now members of 1359 Flight, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, the Hercules reservist aircrew flight.
