| Raptor Recognized By Aviation Week |

Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine awarded the 2002 Quality Center Award to the US Air Force/ industry F/A-22 Raptor team in early fall. The team was recognized because it successfully developed and executed high-quality products and continuous process improvement techniques; organization-wide focus on customer needs; aviation/aerospace economic activity and employment; and leadership in spreading quality initiatives among numerous suppliers, customers, and partners. Also named in the award are the F/A-22 Raptor program’s key first-tier suppliers and partners, which include Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, BAE Systems North America, TRW, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon. The award, established in 1998, identifies and celebrates the aerospace industry’s ability to initiate quality practices in developing and manufacturing products for the civil aviation, military, and space industries. |
