A crew from the 3rd Airlift Squadron at Dover AFB, Delaware, made the first C-5 flight into Baghdad on 9 May. The first load in was military communications equipment. When ground support troops found out a crew was making a return mission, they asked if some things they wouldnt have access to otherwise could be brought in. A later flight brought in frozen pizzasa big morale booster. On the seventh and final mission into Baghdad, a C-5 delivered an Internet café, a semi-truck containing computer stations that allow troops to maintain contact with their friends and family back home. |
