Capt. Jessica Rhyne, an F-16 pilot from Spangdahlem AB, Germany, along with more than 100 other service members, represented the US military in the first-ever display of American aircraft on Russian soil at the Moscow Aviation and Space Show in August. The opportunity to participate in this air show is historic. Its symbolic of a closer relationship between Russia and the United States, said Maj. Gen. Edward LaFountaine, the director of logistics and security assistance for US European Command. At the air show, Rhynes F-16CJ, a C-130 from Ramstein AB, Germany, and a B-52, a KC-135, and an F-15E sat wingtip to wingtip with their Russian counterparts.
