Tactical Exchange 2003

Tactical Exchange 2003 This year’s Keflavík Tactical Exchange, also known as KEFTACEX 2003, concluded last August with a debrief on the lessons learned by the seven nations involved in the annual antisubmarine warfare exercise. Aircrews from three US patrol squadrons (VP-10, VP-45, and VP-66), the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Canada, and Norway participated in the exercise. Ten aircraft flew forty sorties for a total of more than 200 flight hours. The allies were able to complete ninety-seven percent of their scripted on-station time for the exercise. For the majority of that time, aircraft had contact with the French submarine Casabianca (S 603), which was serving as the target.
