Maj. Stef Buyse led three Belgian C-130Hs in precise formation as they flew over the Belgian Royal Palace on 21 July as part of National Day celebrations. The weather was gorgeous and the crowds were large because King Albert II was also celebrating his tenth year on the throne. Buyse, who has 9,000 hours on Hercules and flew with the RAF as an exchange pilot from 1986 to 1990, also flew the first civilian flight into Baghdad, Iraq, on 27 April on behalf of the Red Cross.Back To Events Index
