A new isochronal inspection hangar at Shepherd Field in Martinsburg, West Virginia, opened in early October as part of a maintenance complex where most of the shops for the 167th Airlift Wing, the West Virginia Air National Guard C-5 unit, are under one roof. The wing’s new corrosion control hangar will be completed in early 2008. On 7 November, a C-5 made the first landing on the newly opened runway in Martinsburg.
