The fifth production C-5M Super Galaxy was redelivered to the US Air Force on 20 July 2012 at Robins AFB, Georgia. The aircraft was delivered from Robins because of a planned runway closure at Dobbins ARB, which is located next to the Lockheed Martin plant in Marietta, Georgia. This Super Galaxy (Air Force serial number 84-0061) is the eighth C-5M for the Air Force overall, counting the three test aircraft that are now in the operational fleet. This aircraft will undergo internal paint restoration at Stewart ANGB, New York, before being flown to its permanent home at Dover AFB, Delaware.
