Raptors At Osan

Four US Air Force pilots flying F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft conducted a combined formation flight alongside Republic of Korea F-15K Slam Eagle crews and US F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots to demonstrate the capabilities of the ROK-US Alliance during a flight on 17 February 2016 at Osan AB, Korea. The mission demonstrated the strength of the Alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea and the resolve of both nations to maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula. The Raptor pilots, based at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, flew the aircraft to Osan from Kadena AB, Japan, where they are on extended deployment. The F-16s are assigned to the 36th Fighter Squadron at Osan.
