The fourth of a dozen P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft for Taiwan arrived at the Lockheed Martin facility in Greenville, South Carolina, on 14 June 2011. The aircraft, which had been in storage at the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan AFB, in Tucson, Arizona, was disassembled and transported overland on nine trucks to Greenville. While there, the aircraft will receive new wings, new mission systems, and other structural upgrades. The first modernized P-3 for Taiwan is scheduled for delivery in early 2012.
