A P-3C Orion from Patrol Squadron 30 (VP-30) at NAS Jacksonville, Florida, serves as the backdrop for First Lady Michelle Obama during a Joining Forces community event held at the base on 12 April 2012. PO2 Matt Shields, a Sailor assigned to an SH-60 squadron at Jacksonville, provides American Sign Language translation. VP-30 is the US Navy’s P-3 Fleet Replacement Squadron, the Orion aircrew schoolhouse.
