The 1,500th Rolls-Royce AE2100 engine for the C-130J Super Hercules was installed on 14 April 2014 at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia. The engine was installed on a C-130J-30 (Lockheed Martin aircraft ship number 5756), which is designated for the US Air Force and will be assigned to the 61st Airlift Squadron at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. Rolls-Royce was recently awarded US Air Force and US Marine Corps contract for sustainment services for the AE 2100 engines as well as nacelles and propellers on the US C/KC-130J fleet. The work includes logistics and program management support, engineering services, spares and technical data support. The AE engine family has accumulated nearly sixty million flight hours.
