A C-130H Hercules crew from Niagara Falls ARS, New York, launches flares over Lake Ontario during a training exercise on 10 August 2011. Flares are launched from aircraft to spoof enemy heat-seeking missiles. Niagara Falls ARS is home to both the 107th Airlift Wing, a New York Air National Guard unit, and the 914th AW, assigned to Air Force Reserve Command.
