Airmen offload patient mannequins from a C-130H on 27 April 2012 during a Critical Care Air Transport Team, or CCATT, training course at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The CCATT course is taught by instructors at the Air Force Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills at the University of Cincinnati and is designed to provide Air Force doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists with total immersion in the care of severely injured patients. The 165th Airlift Squadron, the Kentucky Air National Guard C-130H squadron based in Louisville, started providing C-130s to use as a CCATT training platform in 2009. The unit’s aircraft are all named after famous race horses.
