Farnborough International Airshow 2010

F-22: David Drais; C-130J: SSgt. Jerry Fleshman

The flying capabilities of both the F-22 Raptor and C-130J Super Hercules were demonstrated during the Farnborough International Airshow, held outside of London from 19-25 July. The F-22 at the show was deployed from Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, and flown by Maj. David ‘Zeke’ Skalicky, the F-22 Demonstration Team pilot who is based at Langley AFB, Virginia. The C-130J was deployed by 37th Airlift Squadron at Ramstein AB, Germany. It was flown during the airshow by Lockheed Martin test pilot Wayne Roberts. More than seventy US servicemembers participated at Farnborough and nine US military aircraft, including an F-16 Fighting Falcon, were on static display or demonstrated during the airshow.
