The final F-22 Raptor air dominance fighter was rolled off the assembly line in ceremonies at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, on 13 December 2011. A crowd of several hundred employees, US Air Force, and Raptor industrial team officials at the event followed the aircraft as it came out of the main assembly building. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 10-4195) was then towed to the company’s flight line where it will undergo preflight checks, initial airworthiness checks, and receive its exterior coatings. This Raptor is scheduled for delivery to the 3rd Wing at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, in the April 2012 timeframe. A total of 195 F-22s were built, counting test, initial production, and operational aircraft.
