A team of five Colombian Air Force officers toured McEntire JNGB, near Columbia, South Carolina, on 30 July 2013 as part of a US visit to gather information about F-16 operations and maintenance. This visit is the latest engagement in the State Partnership Program, or SPP, between South Carolina and the Republic of Colombia. South Carolina and Colombia formally established a bilateral relationship in 2012. The Colombian team was led by Brig. Gen. Ramses Rueda, an active-duty pilot and director of the Colombian Air Force Officer's Academy. After receiving a 169th Fighter Wing unit briefing, the Colombian officers went on a tour of the wing’s operations and maintenance groups and had an F-16 avionics demonstration on the flightline.
