US Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots from the 80th Fighter Squadron at Kunsan AB, South Korea, carried out joint flying operations alongside their counterparts from the Republic of Korea Air Force’s 19th Fighter Wing at Jungwon AB during the Buddy Wing 15-6 exercise, held 7-10 July 2015. Buddy Wing training, held several times a year, enhances the ability of US and South Korea pilots to train and operate as a combined force. This iteration of Buddy Wing training included one defensive counter air exercise, two air interdiction exercises and one strike coordination and reconnaissance exercise. This iteration also helped South Korean Airmen prepare for their upcoming deployment to the Red Flag-Alaska exercise at Eielson AFB, Alaska.
